CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

If customers wish to cancel an order, they must inform us within 24 hours of the initial purchase. Requests for cancellations beyond this time frame will incur a 20% fee for moissanite and a 30% fee for lab-grown items. These fees are designed to cover restocking and operational costs

Return

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it—unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Since our designs are handcrafted, all returns will incur a 30% restocking fee in CVD Jewelry and a 20% restocking fee in Moissanite Jewelry. This fee covers the labor required to resize and polish the returned piece. If the returned piece requires extensive cleaning or repair (or is in any other condition that prevents resale), a higher restocking fee may apply depending on the required work.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns or exchanges for the following items unless they arrive damaged or defective:

  • Custom or personalized orders

  • Eternity bands made to order

  • Items on sale

  • Items purchased during a sale event

  • Any product with physical damage

Exchanges

If a customer wishes to exchange their ring, a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from the original purchase amount. The remaining balance will be applied toward the new purchase. Any price difference will also be charged to the customer. (Note: The percentage may vary if gold or stone prices change.)

This exchange must be initiated within 30 days of receiving the ring and is limited to one exchange per piece. The credit does not apply to future purchases.

Return Process

Please contact us before sending any jewelry back to ensure proper handling.
Clients are responsible for return shipping costs. We highly recommend using a traceable, insured courier—we are not responsible for items lost in transit.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, you’ll be refunded to your original payment method. Please note that your bank or credit card company may take time to process and post the refund.

Resizing

At Finest Carat, we understand the importance of a perfect fit—especially for rings. We offer ring resizing services to ensure comfort and beauty.

Resizing Limitations:

  • Rings can be resized by a maximum of one full size up or down.

  • Resizing beyond this range may compromise the piece’s integrity and is not supported.

Exceptions:

  • Rings with full eternity settings cannot be resized due to their design.

  • We may offer to exchange your ring for a new one in your size instead of resizing, especially for plain gold bands. We will contact you if this is the recommended solution.

Clients are responsible for shipping both ways (including customs for international orders).

Repairs

Need a repair? Contact us at support@finestcarat.com. Here's what to expect:

  • Our specialists will inspect the piece and prepare a repair intake form, which we will share with you.

  • We’ll start immediately on warranty-covered repairs, which may include:

      • Replacing or resetting stones

      • Setting replacement

      • Prong work

      • Band reinforcement

      • Resizing

If you'd prefer to approve any warranty work before we begin, let us know in advance.

If the repair goes beyond what the warranty covers, we’ll notify you and give you the option to proceed or decline.

Shipping is the client’s responsibility both ways.

Repair timeline: 2–3 weeks from the time we receive the piece.

Note: If your piece needs a new stone, we cannot guarantee an exact match for limited-edition or one-of-a-kind stones. We’ll reach out for your approval if a substitute is needed.
